About Beatrice Cazeau, Esq.

Beatrice Cazeau, Esq. is the managing attorney at the Law Offices of Cazeau & Associates, PLLC and currently serves as Special Magistrate for the City of North Miami. She also serves as legal counsel for the Nuisance Abatement Board as well as the Unsafe Structures Board for the City of Miami Gardens.  She earned her law degree in 1999 from the New England School of Law in Boston, MA and her undergraduate degree in criminal justice from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, in New York City.   Ms. Cazeau began her legal career as an Assistant State Attorney with the Miami-Dade County State Attorney’s Office then went into private practice in 2002.

She has successfully represented countless clients in the areas of personal injury including car accidents,  motorcycle accidents, and slip and fall accidents as well family law cases including divorce, paternity and child support, and criminal defense cases in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach County, Florida.  Don’t wait to retain the counsel of a reliable, professional and experienced lawyer, like Beatrice Cazeau.

Community Involvement

Ms. Cazeau is a past President of the Haitian Lawyers Association (HLA) and a founding member and Executive Director of the Haitian American Leadership Organization (HALO), an organization that provides scholarships to students of Haitian descent to pursue post-secondary education.

Ms. Cazeau is a former member of the Miami Dade County Domestic Violence Oversight Board and served on the Board of Directors of Legal Services of Greater Miami, Inc. (LSGMI). She is a New England Law Alumni Admissions Ambassador, a proud member of The Links, Incorporated, Miami-Biscayne Bay Chapter, and a distinguished alumna of Leadership Miami, a highly selective leadership program of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce.

Ms. Cazeau currently hosts Koze Legal, a weekly series, broadcasted on social media (Youtube and Facebook Live), that seeks to educate the Haitian-American community on pertinent legal topics and issues.  For many years, she hosted Info Legal, a weekly legal segment on Island TV, designed to inform the Haitian-American Community on the law as well as their legal rights and responsibilities.  Ms. Cazeau is a frequent speaker at schools and churches.

Awards & Recognition

Over the span of her career, Ms. Cazeau has received numerous awards and honors.  The most notable awards included Legacy Magazine 50 Most Powerful & Influential Black Business Leaders for 2019, Outstanding Community Service Award from the Haitian Lawyers Association, Valor Awards from the American Diabetes Association,  40 under 40 Achievers of Today and Tomorrow Award by Success South Florida Magazine and being named as one of South Florida’s Most Influential People, in the Inaugural Edition of Who’s Who in Black South Florida.
